If you have contributed, your name and the correct amount knitted
should be there. If there are any errors, we would love to know about
them so we can correct them. If
you can fill some gaps, and replace "Not
measured" with an actual amount please contact us. Email us or ring 1300 795 999.
We have requested
people to knit in 1 metre sections. This is easy for us to measure and
to join. You might be interested to know that 5 x 1m lengths would make
a blanket for a homeless person.
Thanks to all those who contribute wool and
knitting. To those who are concerned that their contribution has
not reached us, we need to explain that it takes a little while to get
everything through to theWeb page. First your contribution has to reach
us. It is then measured, recorded, joined up to other lengths in
30m rolls and stored in Wilson's Distribution Centre. The lengths are
recorded on computer and finally uploaded to the web page.
Feel free to
email or phone if you think it is all taking too
long. We love to hear from you. However, as we do all this
as volunteers, it does take a while. Sorry. If you know anyone who
regularly travels to Wangaratta from elsewhere in the state and who
would cheerfully transport from a regional centre, please let us
know. We will publish their pickup details and this will help
